CORONAVIRUS:Easter Break-Parent Update 3rd April
Here is an update from Catherine Forrester, Headteacher: Friday 3rd April 2020
It is hard to believe that today is the end of the spring term- who would have thought at the beginning of January that it would be ending in this way?
As I write to you, I do not know what the guidance to schools from the government will be for the start of the summer term and, until I hear otherwise, we will continue with our current arrangements. I have full access to our school communication system over the Easter holidays and will only send further information out to you if I need to.
During the Easter holidays, staff will not be updating the school’s website with work for the children to complete and the "help" email address will not be responded to. As I am sure you will agree, the staff team have worked extremely hard under very challenging circumstances over the past two weeks to provide a range of learning opportunities for your children; they must have a much-needed and well-deserved rest with their families. Access, via the school’s website, to learning opportunities will resume at 9am on 20 April 2020.
There is lots of additional information on our school’s website about how to look after your health and well-being during the lockdown period, including a rather lovely video from our wonderful creative therapist who works in our school. You can find this information under News and Events> Coronavirus.
Today, we say goodbye to 4 of our team members: Charlie Johnson and Lauren Kaye, who are moving on to new opportunities at other Bracknell Forest schools, and to Liz Riley and Emily Bailey who are both about to start their maternity leave. I know you will join me in wishing them all the very best of luck!
Finally, thank you for the positive affirmation and messages of support over the phone, through emails and tweets to our Twitter account regarding the work of the school at this time; we truly appreciate it.
