Red weather alert
Update in reference to the UK heatwave weather alerts
Dear parents/carers,
Further to recommendation and with support from King's Academy Trust in reference to the Red Weather Alert, we would like to advise on the following.
Tuesday 23rd, Wednesday 24th, and Thursday 25th June 2026 – FROM 13:00 SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL PUPILS. School gates will open at 12:50 for collection. All after-school clubs, including Beehive, will be cancelled for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Lunch arrangements have been amended accordingly, and hot school dinners will be served for those who have already ordered. Anyone with packed lunches will eat in the classroom under staff supervision.
We will continue to ensure that all children are reminded to drink plenty of water throughout the day and remain in shady areas outside the classroom, along with the other alterations we have made to the school week, including no assemblies as a whole school.
We will not need to make any adjustments to school uniforms at the present time, as the children are either in summer dresses or shorts and T-shirts.
