McColl's fundraises for Meadow Vale!

Local convenience store, McColl's in Priestwood, has been fundraising for Meadow Vale.....

Staff from McColl’s convenience store in Priestwood Square, Bracknell held a fundraising day recently.  McColl’s took over this popular store several months ago and their staff were keen to get involved in helping the local community. They baked numerous cupcakes to sell, put together a hamper for a raffle and came up with some lottery-themed ideas for fundraising . They spent a whole day manning the cake sale and selling raffle tickets, etc.  Being so close to Meadow Vale, many of McColl’s regular customers are parents, pupils and staff from the school and they were happy to support this fundraising idea.  McColl’s decided to equally share the proceeds from their fundraising day with our school and another local business, Pine Ridge Dog Sanctuary.

Rich Docherty, McColl’s Store Manager, visited Meadow Vale Primary School on Thursday 24th May to present a cheque for £165 to Headteacher, Mrs Lee Parsons.  What a great amount! We will now make sure that this is spent on something special for the children.

We would like to thank all of McColl’s staff in Priestwood for making this possible, and also thank all of their customers for supporting their fundraising initiative. McColl’s plan to continue with regular fundraising days in the future, to continue helping the local community – brilliant!
