Admissions

For Bracknell Forest residents, please visit www.bracknell-forest.gov.uk/applyforprimary for further information on how to apply.

Non-Bracknell Forest residents must apply via their own local authority, even if the place is in a Bracknell Forest school. Please check the website of your home local authority for more information.

Medical conditions notice

If your child has a medical condition requiring medication during the school day, please ensure that you notify the school office by completing the medical section of the admission booklet, or by emailing secretary@meadowvaleprimary.com with full details.

  • If your child has asthma, complete an asthma action plan and long-term medical form.
  • If your child has an allergy, complete the allergy action plan and long-term medical form.
  • If your child needs to take medication in the short-term, complete the short-term medical form.
  • If your child receives school meals and requires special diets for cultural, medical, or allergy reasons, complete the special diets form on the school meals and trips page.

The medical forms and more can be found on the medical and health page. For all other conditions, please contact the school office for advice.

Year 6: Admission to secondary school

For children born between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014, the application process for secondary is closed. Applications submitted from now on will be considered late. To learn more, or to make a late application, Bracknell Forest residents can apply online at www.bracknell-forest.gov.uk/applyforsecondary, or a paper form can be requested from the School Admissions Team.

Applicants must apply to their home local authority no matter what school they wish to apply for.

  • If your child has an EHCP, then their admission to secondary school will be dealt with by their SEN Officer.
  • If your child is undergoing an EHCP needs assessment or EHCP is not yet finalised, then you should still ensure application is submitted to School Admissions in the interim. This can be withdrawn, if required, at a later date.

If you are not applying for a school place as you have made alternative arrangements such as private or home education, then you should contact School Admissions to confirm your arrangements.
