Charging & Remission Policy
Charging & Remission Policy:
External visits are usually planned in conjunction with topic work to enrich the learning experiences for the children and to stimulate further study. Parents may be asked to make contributions for a visit organised by the school and approved by the Governors. Although no child will be excluded should a voluntary contribution not be made, the school reserves the right to determine whether the voluntary contributions are sufficient to enable the activity to take place.
If children go on a residential visit a charge is made to cover the cost of board and lodgings. The Governors will apply the statutory minimum remission to any charges which they make, that is in respect of pupils whose parents are in receipt of Income Support. Any further remission charges will be at the absolute discretion of the Governors.
